New Balance store opens on Walnut Street
In addition to the influx of new stores that have made Center City their home — Forever 21, American Eagle and Nordstrom Rack to name a few — a 2,222-square-foot New Balance store opened yesterday at 1615 Walnut Street.

The store, lodged between Calypso St. Barth, another newer Walnut Street occupant, and Jack Wills, a men and women's clothing retailer, the New Balance space occupies what used to be Destination Maternity.
Shoppers lined up outside the New Balance, which placed a booth dispensing free T-shirts before its April 1 opening.
The city's new New Balance sports apparel outpost offers products for men and women and will be open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.
