They say nothing is free in life. So be prepared in this case- denim-adoring fashionistas- to wait in line.

Madewell, the hip sister brand of J.Crew, is celebrating its grand opening in Center City (1716 Walnut St.) with a big push on Oct. 15 from 6-9 p.m.

The new Madewell store, which was slated for a September welcome and later set for an Oct. 8 opening date, is certainly creating buzz and anticipation amongst local shoppers. To clarify, the new opening date is now Oct. 15.

To fete its new spot, Madewell will give its first 100 shoppers mystery gift cards ranging anywhere from $10 to $500. Doors open at 10 a.m.
