Kerry Washington lands her first major fashion magazine cover

The star of Scandal graces the cover of Elle's June 2013 issue.

This is Kerry Washington's first major fashion magazine cover, although she's previously posed for publications like Women's Health, Essence, and even shared a cover for Elle's Women In Hollywood issue in 2012. Washington tells Elle, "I'm the luckiest broad in Hollywood now. To be the lead actor on Scandal and to be in the highest-earning Tarantino movie- I don't get to ask for more."

The star, who poses on front of the pub with her signature pretty pout, wears Marc Jacobs short shorts, cropped cashmere cardigan, and bra by Carine Gilson Lingerie Couture on the cover. ""I am truly honored and sooooo excited about this month's cover," she tweeted Tuesday morning.
