Kelly Osbourne's new collection is rocker-chic

Kelly Osbourne is releasing a 13-look collection on HSN and online on Sept. 25.

Another day, another celebrity-turned-fashion-designer collection announcement.

Kelly Osbourne, the lavender-haired "Fashion Police" commentator is releasing a 13-look collection on HSN and online on Sept. 25.

The collection, Stories…By Kelly Osbourne, will feature items that retail from $55 to $170. It's composed of mainly darker pieces like black midi-skirts, pants and blazers, and a navy, English rose pullover.

Osbourne, 29, told Women's Wear Daily that she was inspired by designers like Betsey Johnson and Kim Jones and by her British heritage. Obviously that means the collection includes a dress with an enlarged Union Jack print and Peter Pan collar. Osbourne's favorite piece, though, is a black-and-white polka-dot pants jumpsuit with button-up sleeves.

Having dealt with weight issues in the past, Osbourne said it was important to her to be able to include a large range of sizes in her collection.

"It's really unfair that America has this disillusion," Osbourne told WWD, "that the most common size is size 14, and that's only because that's as big as most fashion designers go."

Despite the difficult time Osbourne had finding a manufacturer that would comply with her sizing requirements, she was able to link up with Australian-based company Jupi, and Stories will offer sizes 0 to 24.

Already toying with the idea of a holiday collection, Osbourne said, "My collection is called Chapter One and then we'll go onto Chapter Two as we develop."
