How did you develop your sense of fashion?

My approach is really simple. I like functionality. I like pops of color just like a painting. I usually try to match up my shoes with my belt.

Where do you like to shop?

My favorite place to shop is Boyd's. The personal attention starts when you pull into the parking lot to the interior of the building. It's amazing. One thing that I love about Boyd's is seeing Jeffrey Glass (one of the owners). He treats everyone with the utmost respect. Boyd's is a big store. You have the old school feeling, vibe to it. It has old world hospitality with a new, fresh vibe. When you shop at Boyd's you get the best of both worlds.

Who is your style icon?

Jean Michel Basquiat - famed artist - he was known to paint in an Armani jacket. Believe it or not sometimes when I'm painting I wear an Armani jacket. It's so I can feel like him, bring forth his energies when I do my work. He's one of my favorite artists of all time.

Do you have a motto?

Yes, I have two. Do the right thing, the right way until you get the right results. Life is not about finding yourself. It's about creating yourself.

What's your favorite champagne?

Moet Chandon – the nectar imperial rose. It's phenomenal (Mr. Bazemore has 500 bottles of wine in basement. His cellar can hold up to 1,000).

Where do you like to vacation?

If I had to pjick a place right now I would pick the French Riviera.

White, or yellow gold?

White all day.

What's your favorite color?

Purple. [It] used to be blue when I was a little kid. I think it's because I'm really coming into my own and starting to really know myself. It's the color of my birthstone. My birthstone is amethyst. As I've gotten older I've gravitated towards the lavender or purple color.
