Grammys' best and worst dressed

The Grammys aren't the Oscars or the Golden Globes. Stars can have more fun with their red carpet clothing choices, but this year's standout looks were a tad more understated than usual.

The Grammys aren't the Oscars or the Golden Globes. Stars can have more fun with their red carpet clothing choices, but this year's standout looks were a tad more understated than usual.

Best Dressed

Lady Gaga's sleek, toned-down look is really beautiful. She harnessed her inner mermaid last night in a fitted, silver Brandon Maxwell gown with emerald jewelry and eyeshadow.

Following her stellar Super Bowl debut, Katy Perry continued to impress at last night's awards show in a Zuhair Murad midi dress dripping in jewels.

Gwen Stefani's geometric Atelier Versace jumpsuit with a nude, cutout panel captures the singer's signature cool.

Ciara has been cementing her position in the fashion world lately. She continued to do so at last night's awards show in a dramatic, high-low Alexandre Vauthier Couture gown with a gold belt.

Charli XCX had a serious Grammys moment in her iridescent pink Moschino tuxedo with matching pink accessories. The hot pink bow tie and pale pink fur shawl added some serious swag.

Rita Ora shone bright like a diamond wearing a modest, long-sleeve Prada gown.

Taylor Swift rarely disappoints on the music charts or the red carpet, and last night was no exception. She wore a shimmery, green-blue Elie Saab gown that showed her impressive legs and super-cute fuchsia Giuseppe Zanotti heels.

Honorable mention

Though her look may initially give off the bad-little-girl-at-her-2nd-birthday-party vibe, Rihanna's hot pink Giambattista Valli Couture gown at least deserves a shout-out for its risk factor. With her exceptionally minimal hair and makeup, Rih's look would definitely have been suited for a more dramatic venue like the Met Gala.

Worst dressed

Beyoncé's red carpet looks are all beginning to blur together. Didn't she wear this Proenza Schouler gown to the MTV VMAs?

Kim Kardashian looks like she's wearing her hubby's Michael Jackson-inspired bathrobe. The John Paul Gaultier dress is too big and the shoulder, sleeve and pocket embellishments are obnoxious.
