Camper Shoes is stomping into Center City and staking out a spot on Chestnut.

Sources say the shoe brand will sink its feet into 1734 Chestnut St., the former Rittenhouse home of ice cream shop Scoop DeVille.

WWD reported in May that the Spanish retailer is set to open in Philadelphia by year's end. A company rep sent us the following statement Friday morning via email: "Unfortunately we are unable to provide you with further details at this time."

Camper items are currently available at several retailers in the city including Benjamin Lovell Shoes (119 S 18th St.) and Bus Stop Boutique (727 S. 4th St.)
