'Elle' August cover girl Amanda Seyfried talks sex and exes

Amanda Seyfried knew that taking on the role of porn star Linda Lovelace in the upcoming biopic would liberate her from a decade of association as the innocent, doe-eyed "good girl."

She's played sweet characters like Cosette in Les Mis, Sophie in Mamma Mia! and Lil' Red in Red Riding Hood. So Amanda Seyfried knew that taking on the role of porn star Linda Lovelace in the upcoming biopic would free her from a decade of association and ties to the idea of the innocent, doe-eyed "good girl."

Point of example: Seyfried's latest interview with Elle magazine.

The Allentown-raised star, who fronts the fashion publication's August Issue, gets very honest about her perspective on sex, love and dating. "Everybody I've dated I've been sexually attracted to immediately," the 27-year-old actress shares.

"Sparks don't grow," she continues on her need for physical attraction. "Your vagina doesn't become more inclined to wanting someone just because you're around them," she continues.

As for the topic of former beaus and current crushes, the star tells Elle that she and ex-boyfriend Dominic Cooper will always love each other. However, the actress has moved on and is currently seeing a guy she's known since he was 16... "I picture him as the father of my children all the time. But it is a fantasy right now," she says.

The issue hits newsstands July 23.
