Blinebury behind co-pilot

It took longer than it should have to get the report back, but on Sunday Joseph Blinebury, whom I wrote about last week http://www.philly.com/philly/columnists/stu_bykofsky/20140822__It_was_like_my_parlor_.html  on Sunday took his last flight in a B-17 bomber. He was nervous at first, but thrilled once the plane lifted off.

He had been a ball turret gunner in a B-17 over Europe and survived 32 missions.

He had long wanted to take a final ride, and at 95, this was it.
