As of 4:15 p.m., I haven’t heard of a breakthrough from the Bob Brady Brigade, as to whether the Philadelphia International Cycling Championship has been saved from cancellation this year.

I heard from the whitest guy I know that I somehow insulted Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., by invoking his famous “I have a dream” speech. (The white guy later said he was joking.)

Also joking was Chris Rock when he observed that almost every city has a Martin Luther King Boulevard, or Avenue, or Drive, “and it’s always in a bad part of town.”

Despite the assurance of the various TV weather guessers that Center City would get a dusting to an inch, it’s coming down right now like we’re in the Arctic, and that is my cue to hook up the dogs to the sled and mush out of here.
