Temple Golf Hold Fourth at A-10 Championships

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, FL – Freshman Connor McNicholas and senior Andrew Mason carded two over-par 74s on the second day of play at the 2011 Atlantic 10 Conference Golf Championships held at the Mission Inn Resort to help keep the Owls in fourth place overall.  Five-time defending champion Charlotte (583) owns a three shot lead over Xavier (586) with Richmond (595) in third place.  The Owls have a two-day total of 620.

McNicholas continues to pace the Owls and is in sixth overall with a three over-par 147 (73-74).  Mason is tied for ninth place with a six-over 150 (76-74).  Freshman Steve Burak (79-80, 159) is tied for 32nd while classmate Russell Hartung (81-84, 165) is in sole possession of 44th.  Sophomore Devin Bibeau (86-83, 169) rounded out the Owls squad and is tied for 47th.

Xavier's Herbert Day leads the field with a two-under 142 (70-72).
