Drexel Men's and Women's Tennis Fall to UMBC

CATONSVILLE, Md. - The Drexel men's and women's tennis teams both fell to UMBC in 7-0 decisions on Saturday. The men drop their overall record to 5-2 on the season and the women move to 6-1.

The men held onto one win in doubles play as the No. 2 position held by Xabier Saavedra and Dan Koehler defeated UMBC 8-6. Badr Ouabdelmoumen at the No. 1 held a close match but ended with the, 4-6, 5-7 loss. Alex Fioravante also held on as long as he could before losing, 4-6, 4-6. 

On the women's side, each match was close, but the Dragons only managed to pick up one doubles win in the No. 2 position as Nicole Pivonka and Emma Brooke held the Retrievers off 8-6. UMBC swept singles play, going six for six.
