Rosales defeated Blosser, one of the nation's top 50 junior players and a highly-regarded collegian, 6-4, 7-6. Also advancing in the draw was Mafa, who along with Rosales also won their first round doubles match, 9-7 over Fairfield before being defeated in the Round of 32.
In New Haven, Conn. on the men's side, Skyler Davis moved on in the first round of the main draw of the ITA Regional championships at Yale University. He earned a three-set win over Jacob Spreyer of UConn to advance. Davis, a junior, is the only men's player still alive in the tournament's main draw for the Dragons, winning 6-2, 2-6, 6-3. He then fell to a Princeton player in a tough 6-4, 6-4 contest.
