PHILADELPHIA – Opening with a huge run for the second straight game, the Temple women’s basketball team cruised to its 14th straight win by a score of 76-52 against Dayton (16-10, 7-5). The Owls (21-6, 12-0) jumped out to a 21-6 lead and never looked back as Shey Peddy scored 17 points to lead five Temple players in double figures.

Temple has already locked up at least the second seed in the upcoming Atlantic 10 Tournament, and has two games remaining. The Owls will play Saint Joseph’s for the Big 5 title on Feb. 23, and will play fellow undefeated conference foe #6 Xavier at home next Sunday, Feb. 27.

PHILADELPHIA – Six players scored in double figures in a record-setting, 89-36 win for Temple women’s basketball at George Washington. The Owls (20-6, 11-0) won their 13th straight game by the largest margin in the history of the program, remained undefeated in the Atlantic 10 and reached 20 wins for the eighth straight season.

Qwedia Wallace led the Owls with 18 points and Shey Peddy scored 16 along with dishing a game-high nine assists. Kristen McCarthy scored 14 points as did Victoria Macaulay, and BJ Williams finished with 11.

Kristen McCarthy led Temple with 22 points and six steals

PHILADELPHIA – Kristen McCarthy’s 22 points led the Temple women’s basketball team to its 12th straight win, a 72-63 defeat of La Salle (8-17, 4-6, 0-3) in Atlantic 10 and Big 5 action on Saturday afternoon. Temple (19-6, 10-0 A-10, 3-0 Big 5) remained undefeated in both conferences and now stands just one win away from its eighth-straight 20-win season.

McCarthy led all players with six steals while also pulling down seven boards and shooting 7-of-7 at the free throw line. Shey Peddy scored 16 points and tied for game-high honors with nine rebounds, while Natasha Thames tied her career high with 15 points and also grabbed nine boards.

Qwedia Wallace led Temple with 23 points in its ninth straight win

PHILADELPHIA – Shooting a school-record 81.8 percent from three-point range and a season-best 56.4 percent overall, the Temple women’s basketball team won its ninth-straight game in an 82-48 rout of Saint Louis (7-15, 1-6).

In front of an enthusiastic crowd of 1,151 at the Liacouras Center, made up primarily of local elementary school students for Temple’s ninth annual “School Day” game, the Owls (16-6, 7-0) were led by Qwedia Wallace with 23 points. Shey Peddy scored 19 points and added a game-high eight rebounds.

Kristen McCarthy scored a game and season-high 23 points

PHILADELPHIA – Lights-out shooting from behind the arc culminated in a program-record 14 three-pointers, helping the Temple women’s basketball team cruise to its eighth-straight win, an 84-56 blowout of Richmond (13-8, 4-3). The Owls (15-6, 6-0) got a game and season-high 23 points from Kristen McCarthy along with three other scorers in double figures.

Coming off the bench for the final seven minutes of the game, senior Danielle Brinkley both tied the record and put the Owls over as she went 2-of-3 from three-point range for a career-high six points.

Qwedia Wallace led Temple with 21 points to hit 1,000 for her career

AMHERST, Mass. – Qwedia Wallace scored a game-high 21 points to hit exactly 1,000 for her career in leading the Temple women’s basketball team to a 76-48 win at Massachusetts (6-15, 2-4) on Wednesday night. The Owls (14-6, 5-0) got their seventh straight win while remaining undefeated in Atlantic 10 play.

Wallace becomes the 19th player in the program’s history to record 1,000 career points. She also tied for team-high honors with seven rebounds.

Shey Peddy led Temple with 20 points in its sixth-straight win

PHILADELPHIA – In a tight game at The Palestra in the final minutes, the Temple women’s basketball team was able to hold off Penn (6-9, 1-3 Big 5) by a score of 62-55 for its sixth straight win. The Owls (13-6, 2-0 Big 5) were led by Shey Peddy with 20 points as they remain undefeated in Big 5 play this season.

Qwedia Wallace scored 14 points for the Owls and now stands just 21 points away from 1,000 career points. Peddy hit 4-of-8 from behind the arc in her 20-point effort, and she tied for team-high rebounds with eight. Peddy also led all players with six assists.

Kristen McCarthy scored her 1,000th career point in Temple's win

PHILADELPHIA – Kristen McCarthy scored her 1,000th point in just her junior season in helping lead the Temple women’s basketball to a 53-43 win against Saint Joseph’s in the Liacouras Center on Wednesday evening. The Owls (12-6, 4-0) were led by Shey Peddy with 19 points as they won their fifth straight and remained undefeated in the Atlantic 10.

McCarthy finished with a double-double, scoring 14 points and tying her career-high with 11 rebounds. Peddy went 7-of-8 at the free throw line and recorded a game-high five steals to go along with her 19 points.

Satoria Bell led Temple with 17 points

PHILADELPHIA – Putting the game out of reach early in the second half, the Temple women’s basketball team cruised to an 81-34 win against visiting Rhode Island (6-10, 0-2) for its third straight win. It was also the second time in three games the Owls (10-6, 2-0) scored 81 points, a season-high.

Satoria Bell scored 17 points off the bench including 3-of-5 from behind the arc to lead Temple, who remains undefeated in Atlantic 10 play. Kristen McCarthy scored 16 points and Shey Peddy added 14 points along with four assists and four steals.

Kristen McCarthy led Temple with 22 points
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Qwedia Wallace hit a jumper with five seconds left to give the Temple women’s basketball team a one-point lead, and then iced the victory with two free throws on the Owls’ next possession to give Temple a 60-57 win in the Atlantic 10 opener at Charlotte (12-4, 0-1). The fast-paced and thrilling game took place in front of a deafening crowd of 3,536 school-age children at Halton Arena.

Kristen McCarthy led all players with 22 points as Temple (9-6, 1-0) defeated a Charlotte team that finished the non-conference season with a record of 12-3.
