PHILADELPHIA – As the season nears the end, the Drexel men's soccer team earned a big point on Wednesday night, getting a late goal to earn a 1-1 draw with Delaware at Vidas Field. Nathan Page scored his team-leading seventh goal of the season in the 78th minute, taking in an assist from Fabio Machado. The Dragons outshot Delaware 21-7, but saw many of their chances blocked away by Delaware defenders or sail over the frame, as they could not get the game-winner in a frenetic extra 20 minutes.

Although the Dragons controlled possession for much of the first half, they were stymied by the Delaware defense, unable to get a clean look at goalkeeper Jay Lupas. Then in the 36 th minute, Delaware found an opening. The Blue Hens earned a corner to the right of Drexel goalkeeper Tim Washam. Prince Nartey inserted, a low, hard entry that crossed the goalmouth and found the right foot of Evan Reed five yards out, even with the far post. Reed fired low and to Washam's right, giving Delaware a 1-0 advantage.

Philadelphia – Megan Hammaker scored her first goal of the season in the 71st minute to give Drexel a 1-0 win against William & Mary on Senior Day at Vidas Field. It marked the first time in 11 meetings that the Dragons have ever defeated the Tribe. Drexel is now 11-3-2 overall and 5-2-1 in Colonial Athletic Association play, while William & Mary fell to 11-5 (5-2, CAA).

With the game scoreless, Drexel junior Sam Greenfield fed a ball from the right side to the top of the box. Hammaker one-timed a shot from about 20 yards into the upper right hand corner, past William & Mary's Caroline Casey for what proved to be the only goal of the match. The win extended Drexel's home unbeaten streak to 14 matches (10-0-4). Drexel hasn't lost at Vidas Field since the last match of the 2010 season.

The Tribe had two significant opportunities to even the score in the closing minutes of the match. William & Mary's Mallory Schaeffer, one of the top players in the CAA, fired a shot off a rebound and appeared to beat Drexel keeper Eve Badana. However, the Dragons' Civanni Moss was stationed at the post and stopped what would have been the game-tying goal with 13 minutes to play. Less than two minutes later, William & Mary's Barbara Platenberg fired a shot on goal, but Badana made the stop and contained the rebound.

Both teams had a few scoring chances in the first half. Drexel opened with a strong first 10 minutes and almost had a goal when senior Alex Vazquez' chip shot just four minutes in went over the net. William & Mary had its best opportunity after Drexel received a yellow card, giving the Tribe a free kick right above the box. Schaeffer took the kick and it was blocked by Drexel's wall. The ball came right to Nicole Baxter, who fired but had her shot blocked.

William & Mary outshot Drexel, 17-14, but could not get a shot past Badana, who made five saves in recording her ninth shutout of the season. As a team, Drexel has held 10 of its 16 opponents off the scoreboard. Casey had six saves in a losing cause for the Tribe.

The Dragons honored their seniors before their final weekend home match. Sydney Douglas, Caitlin Gottier, Megan Mahon, Biz Matta, Juliana Speroni, Alex Vazquez, Courtney Wylie and captains Jourdan Halasz and Jess Lowinger were recognized. All of the seniors with the exception of Gottier and Lowinger, who were injured, started the match.

The Dragons are off until Sunday, when they travel to Harrisonburg, Va., to face James Madison in a critical Colonial Athletic Association contest.

TOWSON, Md. – Nathan Page scored his team-leading sixth goal, Tim Washam put together his sixth shutout and the Drexel men's soccer team moved to 5-1 to stay atop the Colonial Athletic Association as it held off an aggressive Towson team on its home field on Saturday, 1-0. Page's goal in the 42nd minute would prove to be all the Dragons would need as they recorded their third-straight shutout victory.

The Dragons (9-3-1, 5-1-0) have now held their opponents off the scoreboard for their last 294:30 of play. They did so on Saturday despite continued second-half pressure from the Tigers, who kept Drexel from managing so much as a shot in the second half until the 87th minute. Drexel is now 5-2-1 on the road this year, including a 3-0 record in CAA play.

The Drexel women's soccer team had its three match win streak come to a halt on Thursday afternoon, as Old Dominion upset the Dragons, 2-1. With the loss the Dragons fell to 4-2-1 in Colonial Athletic Association play and 10-3-2 overall.

Old Dominion (3-11, 1-5) got on the board with its first shot of the match. Nikki Clarke fed a long pass to Ashley Coutu who beat Eve Badana to her right. That would be the only shot on goal for the Monarchs in the first half, but it held up as Old Dominion took a 1-0 lead to the half. Less than two minutes into the second half, the Monarchs built a two goal cushion when Kelly Evans set up Taylor Mertz for a goal.

Drexel put the pressure on ODU for the entire second half and it finally paid off when Sam Greenfield put in her own rebound to cut the deficit to one. It was Greenfield's team-high fourth goal of the season. However, the Dragons would not be able to get the equalizer as the Monarchs won for the first time in CAA play.

The Dragons outshot Old Dominion, 17-5, in the game and had 11 of the 13 shots in the final 45 minutes. Drexel had six corner kicks in the second half and nine in the game. ODU had just two shots on goal, but both found the back of the net. ODU's Laura Bush recorded 11 saves

The Dragons return home and will face William & Mary on Sunday afternoon. The team will be celebrating Senior Day. Nine student-athletes will be playing in their final home match against the Tribe.

FAIRFAX, Va. - Nathan Page collected his team-leading fifth goal of the season nearly five minutes into overtime as the Drexel men's soccer team moved to 4-1 in Colonial Athletic Association play, winning 1-0 in a tense, tightly-played match at George Mason. Only six shots went on goal between the two squads in the defensive battle, as Drexel won in extra time for the second time this season.

Until Page's score, the Drexel defense was the star of the contest, keeping the Patriots from registering so much as a shot on goal until the 85th minute. Then, senior goalkeeper Tim Washam faced two shots in the final five minutes of regulation, making two crucial saves to send the game to overtime.
