Saint Joseph's Places Third At Atlantic 10 Women's Rowing Championships

FAIRFAX STATION, VA. The Saint Joseph's women's rowing team earned two bronze medals and finished third in the team standings at the 2014 Atlantic 10 Women's Rowing Championships, held at the Occoquan Reservoir.

The Hawks totaled 36 points to finish behind UMass (52 points) and Rhode Island (50).

Myra McCann and Amanda McEvoy of the Varsity 8 were named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference First Team, while Maura Mahoney of that boat earned All-A-10 Second Team honors.

The Hawks' Varsity 8 and Third Varsity 8 each placed third in their races. 

The Second Varsity 8 finished fourth and the Varsity 4 won the Petite Final. 

Saint Joseph's will close out the season at the Aberdeen Dad Vail Regatta on May 9 and 10.
