PHILADELPHIA –Posting a double-double in both of Saint Joseph’s overtime wins during the week,  redshirt senior forward Chatilla van Grinsven has been named Atlantic 10 Women’s Basketball Co-Player of the Week and Big 5 Player of the Week, organization officials announced on Monday. Earning her third weekly conference accolade and fourth Big 5 honor, van Grinsven averaged 14.5 points and 14.0 rebounds per game over two contests.

At Duquesne on Wednesday, van Grinsven had a game-high 19 points and 15 rebounds for her 10th double-double of the season. Adding three assists and two steals as well, the starting forward also hit the game-winning free throws with less than 20 seconds to play in overtime to seal the win for SJU.

Facing Big 5 and A-10 rival Sunday, van Grinsven posted a team-high 13 rebounds and four steals, to go with 10 points in a 49-41 overtime victory. Finishing with three bocked shots as well, she had a key steal and layup in overtime to secure the win and finish with her 11th double-double of the year, the most by a Hawk since 2007-08.

van Grinsven shares the A-10 Co-Player of the Week honors with La Salle’s Shannel Harrison.

The Hawks return to action this Wednesday when they host La Salle at 7 p.m.
