Saint Joseph's Hawkins Named Atlantic 10 Women's Soccer Player Of The Week

PHILADELPHIA – Tallying a goal and two assists in Saint Joseph’s two wins over the weekend, junior midfielder Mo Hawkins (Philadelphia, Pa./Cardinal Dougherty) was recognized as Atlantic 10 Women’s Soccer Player of the Week for her efforts, conference officials announced on Monday.

Pacing the Hawks in both goals, assists and points this season, Hawkins added to her lead on Friday, scoring the squad’s first goal and assisting on the game-winner as SJU held on for a 2-1 victory against Massachusetts. Hawkins continued to be a catalyst on Sunday against Rhode Island, assisting on freshman Olivia McEachern’s (Sicklerville, N.J./Timber Creek) game-winning goal in Saint Joseph’s 2-0 win.

To date, Hawkins leads SJU in goals (six), assists (three) and points (15) and is currently tied for third all-time in all three categories as well, collecting 23 goals, 11 assists and 57 points over her career.

Saint Joseph’s returns to action this Friday at Saint Louis. Game time is set for 8 p.m.
