Saint Joseph's Michelle Baker Named to A-10 Championship All-Tournament Team

PHILADELPHIA – Averaging 20.7 points per game over three contests, Saint Joseph’s senior guard Michelle Baker (Wilmington, Del./Brandywine) was selected to the 2012 Buick Atlantic 10 Women’s Basketball Championship All-Tournament Team.


Helping the Hawks to the semifinals of the A-10 postseason tournament, Baker shot 60.9 percent from the field (28-of-46) and averaged 2.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. Saint Joseph’s co-captain started the tournament off on the right foot, posting 20 points against Fordham in the first round, and follow with another 20-point performance in the Hawks win over Richmond. Playing 33.7 minutes per game during the tournament, Baker saved her best game for the last, posting a season-best 22 points against top-seeded No. 19/22 St. Bonaventure.


Baker and the Hawks (21-10) await next week's selection show to determine their postseason fate.
