Saint Joseph's Robinson Named Atlantic 10 Women's Tennis Player of the Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Going 2-0 at the tops singles flight this past weekend, Saint Joseph’s junior Casey Robinson (Radnor, Pa./Harriton) was named Atlantic 10 Women’s Tennis Player of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Going 2-0 at the tops singles flight this past weekend, Saint Joseph's junior Casey Robinson (Radnor, Pa./Harriton) was named Atlantic 10 Women's Tennis Player of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

Playing on back-to-back nights against conference foes, Robinson was stellar for Saint Joseph's, accounting for three of the Hawks four wins on the weekend. Playing at No. 1 singles, Robinson went 2-0, earning three-set victories against Duquesne and Massachusetts. Paring with rookie Aurora Davis in doubles, Robinson and her teammate were the victors at No.1 doubles against Duquesne, but fell to Massachusetts.

For the season, Robinson is 10-2 in singles play and has moved up to a tie for 10th amongst Saint Joseph's all-time leaders with 28 career singles wins.

Robinson and the Hawks return to action this Saturday at Delaware at 6 p.m.
