La Salle Volleyball Drops A-10 Match To Fordham, 3-0

PHILADELPHIA – The volleyball team fell 3-0 (25-17, 25-16, 25-13) to Fordham on Friday evening at Tom Gola Arena. Senior Jacquelyn Mitrovich added seven kills, while senior Kourtney Clark had 18 assists. Junior Samantha Tulskie had a team-high eight digs and also added a service ace.

PHILADELPHIA – The volleyball team fell 3-0 (25-17, 25-16, 25-13) to Fordham on Friday evening at Tom Gola Arena.

Senior Jacquelyn Mitrovich added seven kills, while senior Kourtney Clark had 18 assists.  Junior Samantha Tulskie had a team-high eight digs and also added a service ace.

For Fordham (4-11, 1-1), Carina Thompson posted a match-high 10 kills on .471 hitting.

In the first set, Fordham jumped out to a 6-1 lead and the Explorers (4-16, 0-3) couldn't recover.  La Salle was within four at 14-10 after a Mazalewski kill, but would fall 25-17.

The second set was tightly contested at the outset.  With 12 ties, the score went back and forth until the Rams were able to use a five-point run to go up 18-13.  Fordham dug in from there and closed the set out, 25-16.

La Salle continued to struggle in the third set, falling behind early by a score of 17-6.

The Explorers then gained some momentum after winning the serve back on a Mitrovich kill. With Samantha Tulskie serving, La Salle gained three more points.  However, the Blue and Gold dropped the third set, 25-13.
