Proving to be one of the top players in the Atlantic 10 this season, Saint Joseph's sophomore Casey Robinson was recognized for her stellar play in 2010-11 as she was selected to the A-10 All-Conference Second Team, officials announced on Friday. Robinson is just the third Hawk ever to garner All-Conference honors.

Despite missing most of the fall recovering from an injury, Robinson proved herself to be back in top form quickly. Playing at the top singles flight, she finished the season with a 14-7 record, including a 1-1 mark against regionally-ranked opponents. Earning A-10 Player of the Week honors once in the spring, Robinson posted one of the top seasons in SJU history, as her 14 wins at No. 1 singles was just one shy of the all-time single-season mark of 15. Additionally, her .667 winning percentage was the third-best single-season winning percentage in SJU history

Hitting her stride when it mattered most, Robinson won 12 of her last 15 matches, with her two contests at the Atlantic 10 Championships not finishing in time even though she led in the second set in both. On the doubles side, Robisnon teamed with senior Maggie Mullaney to go 7-11 at the top doubles flight.

Robinson joins Stephania Velazquez (2007) and Kim Kashon (1996) as the only Hawks to ever receive A-10 All-Conference honors. She is also the first All-Conference selection on the women's team under head coach Ian Crookenden.
