Colonials Megan Seidman gave GW a quick 2-0 lead, scoring a goal just 58 seconds into the game and again at the 24:41 mark. Grace Dinn got the Hawks on the board nearly four minutes later, but GW connected on a free-position attempt to go back up by two, 3-1, with 15:21 on the clock.

Paolucci netted her first goal of the game with 8:31 left in the frame before the Colonials went on a 5-0 run, including two second-half goals. Paolucci struck again with 16:51 to go in the game but George Washington's defense held the Hawks off and tallied the final goal with 7:37 to go.

The Colonials outshot the Hawks, 18-13, and held a 9-5 advantage in draw controls. Seidman led the Colonials with three scores while teammate Audrey Joy added two goals and two assists.

Meghan McDevitt tallied three assists for the Hawks, while defender Elizabeth Fox had a career-high five caused turnovers to go with six ground balls. Goalkeepers Kaitlin LaBarbera (5) and Alisha Aquilino (2) combined for eight saves in net.

Saint Joseph's returns to action on Saturday when it hosts Massachusetts in its final game of the season. Game time is set for 1:00 p.m.
