Saint Joseph's Maureen O'Donnell Breaks Own School Record at Bison Outdoor Classic

Saint Joseph's sophomore Maureen O'Donnell broke her own school record in the 3,000 meter steeplechase as the women's track team competed at the Bison Outdoor Classic on Friday and Saturday at Bucknell University. Nohjay Nimpson won the triple jump for the second meet in a row.

O'Donnell finished sixth as she completed the steeplechase in an ECAC-qualifying 10:48.40 to break her previous record (11:14.18) set last season at the Lafayette 8 Way.

Nimpson won the triple jump with a season-best mark of 38'2 1/4".

The 4x100 meter relay team of Ashley Williams, Francesca D'Angelo, Coldren, and Stefani Zabilowicz took second place in 50.00 seconds while Jaclyn Kogut, Shannon Casey, Karly Cahill, and Lauren Wenzel won their section and placed fourth overall with a time of 50.96.

Coldren also had a second-place finish in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.06, while Williams took fourth in 13.33.

Aimee Chegwidden also finished with a qualifying time (37:37.93) in her first appearance in the 10,000 meter run this season, placing 22nd overall.

Jessica Di Cicco ran a personal-best 17:21.99 (17th) in her first time competing in the 5,000 meter this season.

In the 800 meter Anna Casey also finished 17th with a season-best time of 2:22.68 while Kelsey Rose recorded a time of 2:23.46.

The Hawks return to action when they compete in the Larry Ellis Invitational at Princeton on Friday and Saturday.
