Philadelphia – Drexel's Charlotte Wood has been named this week's Colonial Athletic Association women's lacrosse Co-Player of the Week, while teammate Amanda Norcini earned CAA's Rookie of the Week honors. Wood tied a career-high with six goals in a single game as the Dragons defeated George Washington, 14-9, in the team's home opener.

Freshmen Amanda Norcini had a stunning start for the Dragons. In her first colligate competition, Norcini knocked in her first goal and put the Dragons up 1-0 within the first five minutes of the game against the Colonials. The Wayne, Pa. native also tallied three groundballs and three caused turnovers for Drexel.

Drexel is now 5-0 all-time against George Washington. The Dragons will visit Saint Joseph's and Penn before returning home to Vidas Athletic Complex on March 6.
