Hawks Freshman Posts Wins At No. 2 Singles And No. 2 Doubles Against Albany

PHILADELPHIA – Coming off victories at No. 2 singles and No. 2 doubles this past weekend against Albany, Saint Joseph’s freshman Devi Jadeja (Bala Cynwyd, Pa./Lower Merion) was named Atlantic 10 Women’s Tennis Rookie of the Week.

Earning her first weekly conference honor, Jadeja teamed with Laura Matz in doubles competition to post an 8-2 win over Albany’ Sarah Iannone and Aubrey Brooks. Switching to singles play, Jadeja was stellar, dropping just four games in a 6-1, 6-3 victory against Laine Mackey.

Jadeja and the Hawks return to action this Friday when they host Stony Brook at 6:30 p.m. at the Upper Darby Sports Center.
