Philadelphia -

After a week in which she missed just three of 15 three-point attempts and led Drexel to its best season-opening win streak, junior guard Kamile Nacickaite has been named Women's Basketball Player of the Week by the Colonial Athletic Association. Nacickaite averaged 22 points and 5.5 rebounds on the week while helping the Dragons defeat Tulsa at home and battle to a tough loss at Virginia on the road.

Nacickaite led all scorers with 20 points against Tulsa, while matching her career high with six three-pointers. The victory gave Drexel its best start in the program’s history (5-0). At Virginia on Saturday, Nacickaite poured in a game-high 24 points while matching her six-three-pointer performance.

On the week, Nacickaite drained 12-of-15 three-pointers to move into fourth place on Drexel’s career three-pointers list with 111. The stellar shooting performance helped Nacickaite to move into fourth place in the CAA in scoring (18.0 ppg) and second place in three-pointers per game (3.0) and three-point shooting percentage (.563).
