Weather should be no problem for women's soccer final

The Independence is scheduled to play in the Women's Professional Soccer championship game Saturday against the West New York Flash in Rochester, N.Y., at 4 p.m. According to Kate Verheyen, director of communications for the Independence, the game should go on as scheduled.

However, Verheyen said that Hurricane Irene isn't expected to affect the game at Sahlen Stadium. The team is staying at a hotel five minutes from the stadium and is planning to return to its Downingtown training facility on Sunday by bus.
