Boys’ Latin senior Maurice Watson gave an oral commitment Wednesday to play basketball at Boston University.

Boys’ Latin senior Maurice Watson gave an oral commitment Wednesday to play basketball at Boston University.

The 5-foot-10 point guard, who had 18 scholarship offers, ultimately picked the Terriers over Virginia, La Salle, Niagara and Hofstra.

Watson, who started his first three seasons at Boys’ Latin, has scored 1,659 career points at the charter school. He averaged 21.9 points this past season.
