Washington center commits to Penn

Darien Nelson-Henry, a senior at Lake Washington High School (Wash.), gave an oral commitment Thursday to play basketball at Penn.

The 6-foot-10, 250-pound center chose the Ivy League school over scholarship offers from Washington State, Gonzaga, Idaho and Boise State.

He visited Penn's campus on Sept. 17.
