Jamal Custis’ extra effort helped complete Neumann-Goretti’s rally as the Saints topped Furness, 33-32, in a nonleague football game on Saturday in Wildwood.

A junior wideout, Custis connected with quarterback Ray Lenhart for a 15-yard touchdown with 5 minutes left to secure the Saints’ win. Custis ran a 5-yard hitch route, hauled in the pass and shed a few tackles en route to finding the end zone.

Lenhart, a sophomore, finished with 250 yards passing. The 6-foot-6, 220 pound Custis grabbed eight passes for 175 yards and three touchdowns.
