Indy's defense superb so far

Now that the dust has settled from the Philadelphai Independence' 2-0 win over magicJack in the WPSL semifinal, it's time to take a peek at Indy's defense.

As Indy coach Paul Riley put it: "To get a clean sheet against magicJack is unbelievable."

Forward Abby Wambach and midfielder Megan Rampone were expected to cause plenty of problems for Indy keeper Nicole Barnhart; however, center backs Nikki Krzysik and Kia McNeill, and Estelle Johnson and Leigh Ann Robinson did a superb job of blocking shots and redirecting crosses.

The "D" will have to be just as good or better on Saturday in Rochester against Western New York stars Marta and Christien Sinclair if Philadelphia is to win the title.
