Hawks' Quarles Out For Charleston Classic

Saint Joseph’s sophomore forward Daryus Quarles won’t play in the Hawks three games during the Charleston Classic in South Carolina due to a foot injury. The 6-foot-6 product of Paulsboro High, will see doctors and receive an evaluation on Monday when the team returns to Philadelphia.

The injury has been lingering for a few months, but has gotten worse recently.

Quarles had one point and three rebounds in 15 minutes during the Hawks’ opening 72-61 win at Western Kentucky last Friday. He also played 13 mintues and had five points in the St. Joseph’s 90-52 exhibition win on Monday over Scranton

Freshman Papa Ndao, who played six minutes and was scoreless in the opener, will start in Quarles place for tonight’s game against Georgia Tech.
