Union Officially Announce Adu Signing

Moments ago the Union made official the biggest news of the last 24 hours, that they have signed Freddy Adu. The attacking midfielder will join the team on a free transfer from Portigal’s Benfica.

There will be a press conference at noon and a big question is whether Adu will suit up for Saturday’s 8 p.m. matchup against FC Dallas at PPL Park.

Adu was in town as a member of the roster of the U.S. National Team, which played Mexico to a 1-1 draw in Wednesday’s international friendly at Lincoln Financial Field.
