Bill Iezzi: Erial Little League in Final

Erial did something that no other team had done against Paramus in the New Jersey State Little League tournament Tuesday night.

Erial scored, and scored and scored in a 10-0 win that forced a final game with the North Jersey team that no one had scored on in the tournament.

Weather permitting, Erial is scheduled to play Paramus for the third time in the tournament Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Monroe Township Little League Complex in Williamstown.

Paramus beat Erial, 12-0, in the first game of the tourney on July 29. Erial then won its next two games before meeting undefeated Erial again in the double-elimination tournament on Tuesday. The win forced a third game.

Whoever wins Wednesday advances to the Mid-Atlantic Regional Little League tournament in Bristol, Conn.
