Ladies, if you’re looking for a great excuse to get together with your girls and celebrate health and fitness in Philly, the City Fit Girls FitRetreat is for you.

Back for its second year, the FitRetreat will be held on Saturday, August 23 at Impact Hub Philly.

Presented by City Fit Girls and local Ryan Crown's Juice Club, FitRetreat is an all-levels event designed to motivate women along their healthy living journey.

Throughout the day, you can take part in club cardio sessions, cross-training runs, yoga, even belly dancing and burlesque. You’ll also get the opportunity to pick the brains of local health coaches and dieticians, plus get the 411 on eating clean with juicing demos, nutrition talks and much more.

“This retreat is really about making an emotional connection to fitness and giving women an opportunity to support and encourage each other,” said City Fit Girls co-founder Kiera Smalls, who really does walk the walk, alongside her partner Takia McClendon.

After suffering from obesity and asthma for most of her life, Smalls decided it was time to make a change. She added physical activity into her daily routine and after one year of her new lifestyle she dropped 100 pounds. Smalls quit her day job in human resources and became an AAAI-ISMA Certified Personal Trainer to encourage others to take control of their health.

City Fit Girls is the byproduct of Small’s inspirational journey — and the FitRetreat is the pinnacle of jump-starting your own path to healthy living.

For $25, you'll participate in multiple workouts, talk to health professionals, fuel up with a healthy lunch, and meet other amazing women interested in living a healthy lifestyle. Plus, your ticket gets you admission to a preview and shopping event at City Sports-Walnut Street on Friday, August 22 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Whether you’re training to run your first 5k or looking to start your own independent fitness/wellness business, there’s something at FitRetreat for everyone.

Registration is open up to the day of the event ($30 day of), but sign up earlier if you want to score a spot in some of the more popular classes.

City Fit Girls FitRetreat, Saturday, August 23 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Impact Hub Philly, 1227 N. 4th Street. Tickets here.
