Marathon season in Philadelphia kicks off on Sunday, September 21, when thousands of runners will lace up for the Philadelphia Rock ‘n’ Roll Half-Marathon.

Last year, the race sold out two weeks before runners took to the starting line. This year, with only a month to go, bibs are still available — and luckily, we’ve got a discount code for all of the procrastinators out there.

On August 1, the half marathon entry fee increased to $120, but you can get $20 off your fee if you sign up before Sept. 7 with this promo code: RUNROCKPHILLY.

The largely flat course starts at Benjamin Franklin Parkway, just west of 22nd Street and ends at Eakins Oval. Competitors will run through Center City on Market Street before making a turn onto Arch to head out towards Kelly Drive. The race turns back towards downtown at the Falls Bridge, with runners traversing MLK Drive before reaching the finish line.

Once the race is complete, competitors and their families are invited to attend a free concert right at Eakins Oval, featuring Rusted Root.

New this year, organizers are adding a 5K to the race weekend festivities. On Saturday, Sept. 20 at 8 a.m., runners looking for something a little less intense can race along the out-and-back course on MLK Drive finishing at the Art Museum.

Race weekend kicks off on Friday, Sept. 19, with a Health & Fitness Expo at the Pennsylvania Convention Center from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
