Hey Philly, looking to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in fun and healthy way? Check out these 4 St. Patty’s weekend races that offer a little something for everyone. Whether you're a fun runner, a runner looking to make a difference, or maybe you're just running to burn some calories before you gulp down some beers - whatever your reason, we've got a St. Patrick's Day run that will get you moving!

10th Annual Fighting Irish 5K
Come out for a fun run that benefits a great cause with the Notre Dame Alumni Club of Philadelphia! The 10th Annual Fighting Irish 5k benefits the children of St. Malachy School in North Philadelphia.  St. Malachy’s is an independent Roman Catholic school that serves 200 students and over 45% of the families in the St. Malachy area that live below the poverty line. The run takes place in Wissahickon Valley on a mostly flat trail.

WHEN: 9:00am on March 16th

WHERE:  Valley Green Road and Forbidden Dr.

1st Annual Paddy Whacks St. Patrick’s Day DASH
Looking for a race with a great after-party? The 1st Annual Paddy Whacks  St. Patrick’s Day Dash may be the right run for you! The 5k course, which begins and ends at Paddy Whacks Irish Pub, is a closed and mainly flat course. You can also don your craziest Leprechaun garb for a 1-mile “Whacky Walk” that begins after the runner take off. After the run and walk there will be food, drinks, live music and other specials for the St. Patrick’s Day festivities at Paddy Whacks Irish Pub. Proceeds of this event benefit “Jimbo’s Squad,” in support of providing comfort and care for patients at the Fox Chase Cancer Center.

28th Annual Leprechaun Run
This run has been a Philadelphia tradition since 1984 benefiting the Special Olympics’ Pennsylvania athletes in Philadelphia. The 5-mile course is fast and flat and offers a scenic view of the city from the Navy Yard. There is also a 2-mile Fun Run that is perfect for walkers, families and new runners. All benefits from the Leprechaun Run will go to the Special Olympics.

Running the Yards 5k Beer Run
Looking for a beer with your run on the Irish drinking holiday? City Running Tours and Yards Brewing Company has teamed up for a 3-mile guided running tour that ends with a free brew from Yard’s Brewery.  Knowledgeable guides will lead you past the Liberty Bell, Independence Park, through the streets of Colonial Philadelphia, and along the Delaware River front, past Christ Church burial and Benjamin Franklin’s grave. The run commences with a tour of Yards Brewery and your complimentary beer from the tasting room.
