Remember former Union striker Carlos Ruiz? I bet you do.

The itinerant Guatemalan is back with the club where his career began, Municipal in his native Guatemala. El Pescadito is now in the 20th season of a pro career that has spanned 11 different clubs - including five in MLS - as well as the Guatemalan national team.

On Thursday, Ruiz did something he had never done in his career before: score a goal in the CONCACAF Champions League.

Ruiz struck from the penalty spot in Municipal's 1-1 draw with Real España. In the night's other matchup, Herediano routed Isidro Metapán, 4-0, with former Union midfielder Gabriel Gómez playing all 90 minutes.

Here are the highlights from both games:

Municipal: Carlos Ruiz (PK) 54'

Herediano 4, Isidro Metapan 0

Herediano: Yendrick Ruiz 33', Elías Aguilar 42, Yendrick Ruiz 45 +3', Víctor Núñez Rodríguez 83'
