Five things you need to know about the 76ers

Five things you need to know about the 76ers today:

1. Perhaps Jahlil Okafor's on-court presence won't be miss after he's traded.  As columnist Mike Sielski pointed out, they're 10-27 when he plays. They're 11-7 when he does not play.

2. Joel Embiid's knee injury probably cost him an opportunity to be an All-Star replacement. NBA commissioner Adam Silver can pick a replacement for Cleveland Cavaliers power forward Kevin Love, who is sidelined for six weeks after left knee surgery.  Embiid just missed making the Eastern Conference All-Star team. So he would have been a solid replacement if healthy.

3. Robert Covington has averaged 3.3 steals in his last three games. He ranks fourth in the league in that category at 1.92 per game.

4.  The Sixers are riding a three-game winning streak. This is the third time this season they've won three straight.

5.   Even with three straight wins, the Sixers are tied with the Minnesota Timberwolves for the NBA's fifth-worst record. They have 21-34 records.
