Wroten to start in place of Anderson

INDIANAPOLIS -- The 76ers will start Tony Wroten at shooting guard in place of James Anderson in Monday's game against Indiana at Bankers Loan Fieldhouse.

Anderson did not make the trip after suffering a right thigh bruise in Saturday's 103-77 setback to Memphis.  The injury could sideline him up to three or four days.

As a result, Wroten will make his 14th start of the season. The 6-foot-6, 206-pounder averages 13.2 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists.  Wroten's numbers have been better as a starter. The normal backup point guard averaged 18.4 points, 5.2 assists and 4.5 rebounds in his first 13 starts.

"We are going to … bring him in and give him an opportunity to start the alongside [rookie point guard] Michael [Carter-Williams]," coach Brett Brown said. "You know, roll out that youth with Michael, [rookie swingman] Hollis [Thompson] and Tony. Give him that chance."

Wroten, 20, is a second-year player. The Sixers (15-51) acquired him in an offseason trade with Memphis.
