Wimbledon champion Marion Bartoli designs sneaker accessory for Sixers
The Sixers may have lost to the Detroit Pistons on the basketball court, but they had a champion from the tennis court in the stands cheering them on Friday.
Former Wimbledon champion Marion Bartoli attended Friday's Sixers game to not only cheer on the team, but to unveil her sneaker accessory that features the Sixers' colors and logo.
Called the "Philadelphia 76ers Wings by Marion B," the accessories can be laced up with any standard pair of sneakers to add a little flair to your kicks, according to a team press release. The wings went on sale exclusively at the Wells Fargo Center during Friday's game.
The Sixers Dream Team wore the wings Friday night as well as took part in a meet-and-greet with the tennis champion.
In an interview with SI.com, Bartoli revealed that Serena Williams will be wearing the wings during the Australian Open.
Bartoli documented her experience at the Sixers-Pistons game in series of tweets. From the looks of the them, she had a good time.
