Stauskas talks about Sixers trade discussions

NEW YORK –  Nik Stauskas is here at the NBA draft, working as a reporter for The Sports Network of Canada.

He took a moment to talk about how he and his 76ers teammates are dealing with all the trade talks. The Sixers were widely known to be shopping players, primarily centers Jahlil Okafor and Nerlens Noel, to teams around the league. They are also dangling their two late first-round picks to move up. And they have  entertained preliminary conversations regarding the availability of Stauskas, Robert Convington and Jerami Grant.

"There's always going to be trade rumors at this time of year with the draft coming around and new young prospects," said Stauskas, a 6-foot-6 shooting guard. "So that's just part of the job and you really can't worry about that too much."

The Sixers acquired Stauskas in a trade from the Sacramento Kings last summer.  He was also involved in trade talks that would have sent him to the Atlanta Hawks at this past season's trade deadline.
