Source: Sixers previously turned down deal for Mirotić
Will the 76ers reconsider the Chicago Bulls' offer to acquire Nikola Mirotić in a trade for Jahlil Okafor?
A league source said Chicago offered Mirotić to the Sixers a few week ago. However, the source said Sixers turned the deal down. That doesn't mean an Okafor-for-Mirotić deal isn't totally off the table. One has to assume that would have to one of the last resorts for the Sixers. The team is going through trade options.
The problem with acquiring Mirotić is he's in line to become a restricted free agent at the conclusion of this season. His qualifying offer for next season is $7.23 million.
The 6-foot-10 forward is averaging a career-worst 9.0 points and 5.1 rebounds. The third-year veteran is also shooting a career-worst 29.9 percent.
