The 76ers have secured a backup point guard.

The franchise reached an agreement with former Los Angeles Laker Darius Morris on Thursday, according to a league source. Yahoo! Sports first reported the Sixers' acquisition. The 6-foot-4, 190-pounder will reportedly sign a partially-guaranteed deal for the upcoming season. He's expected to play significant minutes. Morris averaged 4.0 points, 1.6 assists and 14.2 minutes this past season. He averaged 3.6 points while making 67 appearances during his two seasons in Los Angeles.

The 22-year-old out of Michigan was the Lakers' second-round pick (41st overall) in 2011.
