Sixers to re-sign Dedmon
The 76ers will sign Dewayne Dedmon to a second 10-day contract on Friday, according to a league source.
The Sixers originally added the 7-foot, 255-pounder on a 10-day contract on Jan 14, making him the first player signed by the franchise since it waived Dan Orton on Jan. 7.
A center, Dedmon was called up from the Santa Cruz Warriors of the NBA Development League, has averaged 3.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1 blocked shots and 14.8 minutes in five games with the Sixers.
His best performance came against the Chicago Bulls on Saturday. That's when he scored 8 points on 4 for 5 shooting and had 7 rebounds and blocked a shot.
