Sixers release Kazemi's rights
The 76ers released their rights to Arsalan Kazemi in order for the power forward to try out for the Atlanta Hawks in training camp.
GALLOWAY TWP, N.J. -- The 76ers released their rights to Arsalan Kazemi so the power forward could try out for the Atlanta Hawks.
Kazemi was a long shot to make the Sixers roster. The Washington Wizard made him the first Iranian NBA draft pick by drafting him 54th overall in 2013. He was traded that night to the Sixers. The franchise assigned him to overseas teams the last two seasons.
The former Oregon standout will have a tough time making the Hawks roster.
