Sixers' Joel Embiid doubtful for this weekend's games
76ers center Joel Embiid participated fully in practice Wednesday but was listed as doubtful for this weekend's games because of left-knee bone bruise.
The rookie has already missed 11 straight games and 14 of the last 15 after suffering the bruise on Jan. 20 against the Portland Trail Blazers. An MRI also revealed that he has a slighty torn meniscus.
The news about the two weekend games comes five days after Embiid said he was hopeful to return for the first game after the NBA All-Star break. However, he's listed as doubtful for that matchup against the Washington Wizards on Friday at the Wells Fargo Center. He's also listed as doubtful for Saturday's matchup in New York against the Knicks.
