Sixers' Jahlil Okafor returns against Oklahoma City Thunder

OKLAHOMA CITY – 76ers center Jahlil Okafor  will play on Wednesday against the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Chesapeake Energy Arena.

He announced the news around an hour before the game after participating in a pregame warmup. Okafor had been listed as questionable following the morning shootaround.

He missed Monday's road game against the Orlando Magic and seven overall with right knee soreness.  Monday's inactivity came after the second-year veteran was unable to compete in the second half of Sunday's home game against the Boston Celtics.

Okafor has been dealing with the knee soreness since having surgery on March 22, 2016 to repair the meniscus in the knee. The injury cost the NBA all-rookie selection the final 23 games of the season.
