Pompey's projected Sixers lineup

The Inquirer's Keith Pompey projects the Sixers' starting lineup on opening day.

It's way too early to know who will be in the 76ers' starting lineup on opening day. But here's a projected starting lineup after the addition of Nik Stauskas in Wednesday's trade with the Sacramento Kings.

This starting lineup is based on the probability that point guard  Tony Wroten (knee injury) and center Joel Embiid (foot) won't be available at the start of the season.

Here's my projected lineup:

Point guard: Isaiah Canaan. The 6-foot, 188-pounder averaged 12.6 points and 3.1 assists after the Sixers acquired him in a trade with the Houston Rockets in February.

Shooting guard: Nik Stauskas. The 6-6, 200-pounder averaged 4.4 points and 1.2 rebounds last season as a Sacramento King.

Center: Jahlil Okafor.  The 6-11, 270-pounder averaged 17.3 points and 8.5 rebounds last season for Duke.

Power forward: Nerlens Noel. The 6-11, 226-pounder averaged  9.9 points, 8.1 rebounds and 1.9 blocks last season as a Sixer.

Small forward: Jerami Grant. The 6-8, 210-pounder averaged 6.3 points and 3 rebounds last season as a Sixer.
